Kristin – Studio Manager
As a dancer, Kristin has always had a passion for finding challenging and rewarding ways to move the body. She danced professionally throughout and after college, where she studied elementary education. Kristin is currently a kindergarten teacher and is still active in the musical theater community.
Kristin hopes that her passion for life, health, and happiness is contagious and that you’ll always leave her class with a smile.
Leigh – Fitness Director
Leigh grew up taking various dance classes and being interested in all sports. After several years of inactivity after college, she discovered running. Realizing the benefits of getting in shape, she took kettle bell classes, yoga classes and then Crossfit classes. Since becoming a Crossfit instructor 5 years ago, Leigh understands that fitness and health are important parts of everyone’s life, whether it’s training to be a professional athlete or to be in better shape. She is loving her new role as Fitness Director and psyched to be a part of the PPW team!
Christine is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and mother of 3. She expanded her professional expertise and became certified as an AFAA Military Training Specialist, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, TRX GROUP Suspension and TRX RIP Qualified Trainer.
She is passionate about fitness and introducing others to the benefits of strength training while using correct form, proper technique and injury prevention.
Natalie is a Florida native, and a lover of sunshine and all things Disney. She has always been a runner, but discovered her passion for fitness and group exercise after graduating college. After finding her niche in high–intensity and high–energy workouts, she decided to pursue her first fitness certification with Beachbody Turbokick. Natalie first came to Pilates ProWorks as a student, and was immediately drawn to the workout since it combines the energetic spirit of group exercise with the tranquility of a solo workout. Her classes will challenge you, make you stronger, and make you smile!
James spent the majority of his professional life in the health and fitness industry. He has spent the last 3 years as a personal trainer at various fitness centers. James was the strength and conditioning coach for the West Springfield women’s basketball program and is currently enrolled at GMU working towards his athletic training degree.
Stephanie is a high energy, adventurous, sports enthusiast and athlete. She is an avid runner, loves tennis, biking, skiing and matBox. She discovered her love of all sports in her early years and was a competitive gymnast and cheered in college. She has continued her commitment to fitness and her quest to try new things all while raising 2 kids and running a local floral business. Wherever you find her – in her design studio, on the bleachers cheering her kids, running down bike paths, out on the court, in the gym or teaching at PPW – she’ll smile and ask you to join her.
Melinda grew up in Manila, but now calls Old Town her home. A foodie who loves working out, she got really into kickboxing when she first moved to Virginia. Soon after that she started exploring indoor cycling, Pilates, and barre—stuck with the latter and made it part of her daily routine for over two years! When PPW opened down the street, she was instantly hooked! The kickass workouts eventually became something she looked forward to everyday—loved it so much she decided to join the PPW Team! When she’s not in the studio, you will most likely find her planning her next big trip around the world…most likely to another beach back home.
Angie first discovered pilates while working hard/playing hard in Advertising in Chicago. The mind-body connection really sparked within her and she found pilates to be her great escape from stress and technology. She also celebrated in the way her clothes started to fit better and she started to walk taller. She moved to Alexandria a little over a year ago and was thrilled to find ProWorks. It is the perfect combo of pilates meets super challenge meets modern and fun. She credits the ProWorks method for helping to give her the strength and stamina to keep up with her fun loving husband, their two kiddos, ages 3 and 7, and their beloved family pooch, Stanley.
Heather is a HKC Kettlebell instructor and a certified personal trainer andnutritionist through the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI). Heather specializes in HIIT workouts that are challenging, dynamic, and fun. She guarantees that you will get a killer workout and laugh your abs off while doing it.
Heather was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Communication and holds a Master’s in Communication from Purdue University. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her husband and chasing after their two toddler boys.
Ashley keeps her classes fun, creative, and hip. You’re sure to hear some awesome music ranging from pop, reggaton, hip hop, soca, and international mixed with some classics form the 80s and 90s. She loves keeping students guessing on what will play next! She also loves seeing people sweat in class and getting dirty looks – it gives her confirmation tbat she is doing her job. Being a lifelong athlete and competitor, Janine has always loved finding new ways to challenge herself both physically and mentally. In discovering the Pilates method, she found the perfect mix of mind/body exercise that truly pushed her to her limits. After practicing Pilates in both LA and Denver for almost 3 years, she decided the next way to challenge herself was to become an instructor and really learn the ins and outs of the machine, the method, and my body. With 1 ½ years of experience teaching, she loves designing classes with fluid but challenging sequencing, while paying extra attention to form and pace.
